FCTR(tm) JeoParty! is a nifty little program written in Visual Basic that simulates the Jeopardy! game on TV with all the usual sounds and graphics. FCTR(tm) JeoParty! will allow you play the standard two round game, or just one round for those with little patience. The daily doubles are picked at random. You may create as many question/answer files as your hard disk can hold. Four sample files have been included to get you started. All FCTR(tm) JeoParty! questions/answer files end with a .JQ2, such as Trivia.JQ2.

If you are a Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 user, make sure you are logged in with Administrator privileges. Once you've downloaded it, run FCTRSetup.EXE. Internet Explorer users can "Run from this location".

If you are a Windows Vista/7/8 user, make sure you "Run as Administrator".

It's really quite self explanitory. First click on the question/answer file you wish to use, then click on Start Game.

Clicking on any of the categories will display all the categories, one at a time. You must wait until this is finished to continue. This should be done once, just after the board has been set up, just like in the real game on TV.

In order to display an answer, click on the dollar amount. Once the answer has been displayed for at least three seconds, you can click on the answer to reveal the question. Three seconds later, you can click on the question to return to the board.

If you accidently display an answer, you can right click on an answer already displayed and the answer will return to the play board.

Double clicking on the board background will prematurely end the game and take you back to the file selection screen.

For Final JeoParty!, after the answer is displayed, you will have to wait the ENTIRE 30 seconds to click to show the answer. Once the question is displayed, clicking on the question will take you back to the file selection screen.

To create your own question/answer files, click on the Question Editor/Creator button.

Why would you want to do that?

Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel. Double click on Add/Remove Programs. Select FCTR(tm) JeoParty! v5.0 and click Add/Remove... Click on OK.

2. Receiver assumes all risk and liability for loss, damage, claims or expense resulting from use, possession or resale of this software product furnished by FCTR pursuant to this agreement. (Use at your own risk.)

3. Receiver agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless FCTR, its officers, agents, and employees from and against any and all claims, liability, loss, damage or expense, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising from or by reason of receivers' use, possession or resale with respect to this software product furnished by FCTR pursuant to this agreement, and such obligation shall survive acceptance of said product therefore by receiver. (You aren't going to sue FCTR in case FCTR(tm) JeoParty! damages anything.)

4. Receiver agrees that it will not advertise, order for sale, or sell this software product furnished hereunder for any amount for which he/she received said product from FCTR. (You can give the FCTR(tm) JeoParty! program away, but you can't sell it, nor can you share registration codes with unregistered users.)

5. This agreement constitutes the complete and final agreement of the parties hereto.
